Obituary for Yvonne Bailey - Kingsville Celebration Centre
BAILEY, Yvonne Grace (nee Slater);
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Erie Shores Healthcare at the age of 85 years. Loving wife of Tom Bailey for 63 wonderful years. Adored mother of the late James Tyler Bailey, the late Jeffrey Thomas Bailey, Mary Jo Wright (Randy), Linda Shean (Jim) and Sarah McElwain (Rob). A very sweet and adoring Grandma of Lucia and Finnley. Sister of Elaine and Gord (Alda); predeceased by siblings Doug, Charlie, Bruce, Pauline and Barbara. Also left to remember Yvonne are her many nieces and nephews that she held so dear and her extended family.
Yvonne was raised with a love and appreciation for plants, flowers and the environment. She pursued an education in horticulture and found employment that supported this passion. She began her career at Atkin’s Flowers then moved on to Newland’s Flowers. She took a risk and ventured out on her own and became the proud owner of Flower Fashions in 1976. For over 40 years she worked alongside her family, bringing smiles to people every day with her deliveries of beautiful bouquets.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A celebration of life for Yvonne will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Church of the Epiphany, 106 Main St W, Kingsville, at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
