Obituary for Theron Jay Chobrda - Kingsville Celebration Centre

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theron Jay Chobrda a father, a son, a brother.

Theron passed away peacefully, in his sleep, at his residence in Elliot Lake. His passing was during the early days of the pandemic when lock downs and travel restrictions prevented visitations and funerals. Cremation has taken place.

Theron is survived by his beautiful precious son, Seth Jay Chobrda, whom Theron was always so very proud of. At the time of his passing, he was also survived by his parents Steve and Martha Chobrda, sister Mandy Johnson and brother Jeremy Chobrda.

He is remembered for his beautiful smile, his quick wit and endless jokes, his strength and courage, fierce loyalty, energy and love. He is also remembered lovingly for his clear cut views which once formed were impossible to move.

Theron had a favourite word... Hope.
Hope, that despite darkness, the light was always close. Hope, that it would get better and hope that he would have the strength to hold on till it did.
Theron understood that one never looks good, by making someone else look bad.
His passing a year and a half ago, has taught us that grief is not something to be completed. How could it be?
We adjust, we accept and we cling to what Theron lived by... Hope. Theron was loved. Theron is missed.

A memorial visitation will take place at Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Iler Cemetery along with his dad, Steve Chobrda, and in the company of generations of ancestors. There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind. C.S. Lewis

If you only carry one thing with you throughout your entire life, let it be hope. Let it be hope that better times are always ahead. Let it be hope that you can get through even the toughest of times. Let it be hope that you are stronger than any challenge that comes your way. Let it be hope that you are exactly where you are meant to be right now, and that you are on the path to where you are meant to be in the future. Because during these times, hope will be the very thing that carries you through.
