It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Mary on March 7, 2021 at Windsor Hospital Ouellette Campus at the age of 88. Wife of the late John Sutak (2019). Daughter of the late Louis & Julia Bertok. Mother of Leslie (Sandra) and Richard (Nancy). Grandmother of Timothy Ternosky (Amy), Andrew Sutak, Jonathan Sutak (Rachel) and Jennifer Sutak (Bethany Hildebrand); great-grandma of Kailey and Stella. Predeceased by sister Julia and Bill Haggith and daughter in law Pauline Sutak. Sister in law of Margaret and late Peter Nemeth.
Mary was a proud farmer in Essex County and found such enjoyment out of picking and selling her fresh strawberries, raspberries and sweet corn to the area neighbours. In her later years, she became a master woodcarver making beautiful bird carvings after taking classes at the high school. She loved being active with the CWL and her Friday afternoon cards.
Our family extends heartfelt graditude to the staff of Chartwell Kingsville Retirement Residence for their remarkable care throughout mom’s stay, to the doctor’s and nurses at Windsor Hospital Ouellette Campus, University Hospital London for their excellent care of mom during her stays there and to LHIN for all their help.

Visitation will take place at Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville on Friday March 12, 2021 from 6 to 9 p.m. with parish prayers being said at 6 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday March 13, 2021 at 9 a.m. at St. John de Brebeuf Catholic Church with burial following at Greenhill Cemetery.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date.
