It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marny Hodgkins (nee Sanger), 62, of Kingsville. Marny went peacefully August 13th, surrounded by her family. Loving wife of Jim for 39 years. Devoted mother of Kolton (Andrea) and Katanna Wiley (Vernon). Special Grammy to Maina, Ewart, Violet, and Mabel. Cherished sister of Bradley Sanger (Margo) and Linda Lyman (Tom). Dearest sister in law to Bill Hodgkins, Wes Hodgkins (Arlene), and Sheena Vert (Peter). Beloved aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents John (2008) and Anita (1994) Sanger. Marny was a lover of books, movies, nature, sweet and salty snacks, and children. She was a dedicated Early Childhood Educator at Division Road Preschool for many years. Even though Marny had suffered a devastating acquired brain injury in 2007, she never stopped fighting. No matter what was thrown at her over the past 13 years, she always remained positive, strong, and a warrior. Through her we know what perseverance and resilience truly look like. Cremation has taken place and as per Marny’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society or the South Essex Community Council Adult Day Program. Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville. Memories may be shared at www.kendrickfuneralhome.com.
