Obituary for Margaret Hodgkins - Kingsville Celebration Centre

Honouring the Life of Margaret Duthie Hodgkins
(Sept. 27, 1930 - June 10, 2020)

Peacefully in her sleep, on June 10, 2020, Margaret Hodgkins passed away at Royal Oak Long Term home at the age of 89.

Loving mother of Jim (Marny), Bill, Wes (Arlene), Sheena (Peter) Vert.

Cherished Granny to Kolton (Andrea), Katanna (Vern) Wiley, Vanessa (Matt) Martinho, Brandon (Alyssa), Nicole, Andrew, Evan, Trevor and Brianna.

Great Granny to Maina and Violet, Ewart and Mabel, Everett, Samuel and Jackson, Madden, Lennox and Georgia.

Survived by her sister Jennifer (David) Witts and family, Shewan and Sheila Duthie, Gordon and Margaret Duthie and family all of Scotland, Leslie Hodgkins and children.

Predeceased by her husband Albert (Bud,Whitey) of 60 years, brother James of Scotland, Mary and Paul Peterson, Joan and Carl Murtagh and Ila Hodgkins.

Margaret was an active member of her church community Epworth United and was always ready to give a hand to anyone that needed it.

A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff of Royal Oak who took care of her with so much love and kindness these last years of her life.

Kendrick Funeral Home will fulfill Margaret’s wish of cremation. Margaret was a cancer survivor and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
