Iva Joan Ure (nee Bondy)
June 20 1942 – May 13 2019
Iva passed away peacefully at Erie Shores Hospice, Leamington ON.
Beloved mother of her only son, Bob (Dawn) Ure. Mimi to Dalton & McKenna Ure. Predeceased by her dear parents Bruce & Doris Bondy. Loving sister to Charlene (Ken) Pearce, Maxine (John) Watters, Janet (Norm) Mickle, Joe (Helga) Bondy. Aunt to several nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews.
Iva lived a life on her own terms, by her own rules, and chose to leave this world in the same manner; she knew where she was going and showed no fear. She lived an independent life that exemplified strength, determination and courage. Iva collected a variety of friends, both young and old, many of whom held a special place in her heart.
Special thanks to; Southgate, who truly made Iva feel at home & loved, to the Leamington Dialysis Unit for 7 years of care & kindness, and to the staff and volunteers @ Erie Shores Hospice for a brief but wonderful stay.
Friends & family are welcomed to join us at the banquet hall directly behind Pelee Island Winery, Friday, May 17th from 6pm – 9pm for an open house to honour Iva’s life.
Donations can be made to Windsor Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit (Leamington), or to the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County.
