Obituary for Isaak Fehr- Wheatley Celebration Centre

Isaak Fehr was born on October 26, 1937 in Cuauhtemoc, Chih. Mexico to his parents, Isaak and Elizabeth Fehr. Isaak was baptized upon the confession of his faith on June 12th, 1960. Isaak married his first wife, Katherina Froese on September 18th, 1960. To this marriage of 20 years were born 7 children, Elizabeth, Frank, Maria, Isaak, Tina, Aganetha, and Abe. Kathrina Froese Fehr was killed in a car accident on August 7th, 1980. Isaak married his second wife, Tina Wall, April 4th, 1982. To this marriage of 40 years were born 3 children, Lena, Johnny, and Pete.

For the last 34 years, Isaak lived in Ontario, Canada with his family. He worked hard to provide for his family as a farmer into his early 70’s. After Isaak’s retirement, he still enjoyed raising chickens, cows and also growing vegetables. Isaak’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were also a priority throughout his life. He enjoyed playing with them and watching them grow up, some of them into adulthood.

Isaak lived with diabetes for over 30 years, but learned to manage it extremely well and lived a generally healthy life. Through the last 6 months, his health started to decline and he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in February of 2022. This caused other health issues such as a major infection in the left foot and some organ failure. Although he struggled throughout the last 6 months, Isaak remained patient and positive, trusting that this was God’s will. Isaak Fehr died peacefully on July 1st 2022, in his bed with his loving wife by his side.

He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, 1 son in law, 2 brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by his second wife, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, 10 children, 4 son in laws, 4 daughter in laws, 35 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.

Isaak will be greatly missed by family, friends and so many in the community who had the privilege of knowing him. His positive outlook on life, even in the worst situations and a patience that could only come from God, is something that we hope to learn from and put into our own lives. We miss you Dad.

Friends will be received at the Kendrick Funeral Home - Wheatley Celebration Centre, 17 Little Street South, Wheatley, ON (519-825-7741) Monday July 4, 2022 from 6-9. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday July 5, 2022 at 2PM at New Reinland Mennonite Church. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
