Obituary for Gib Plancke - Kingsville Celebration Centre

Gilbert Alfons Plancke was born in Kingsville, ON November 23, 1927. His parents, Jerome Plancke and Maria Julia Brunuel Plancke were born in Belgium. Beloved husband to Doreen (Robertson); adored father of Alice Macksoud (Chris) and his namesake Gilbert Andrew Plancke (Rina); so grateful and proud of his four grandsons, Kyle Flewelling (Jessica), Jared and Scott Plancke and dear sweet Kaden Macksoud. His only sister, the late Regina Wilson (late John), his younger brother Henry Plancke (Joan) and their children, Mark and Kevin Plancke and Bethany Gately (Ken). He leaves dear nieces and nephews Bill Wilson, Loretta Gascoyne, Carol Wingerden and their families who were always present in his life. He leaves many cousins to mourn his passing. Gib and Doreen shared over 67 years of marriage and Doreen’s own nieces and nephew referred to him as “Uncle Gib” (affectionately) as did family and friends of the same age group.
Gib retired as a stationary engineer from the Harrow Research Centre.He was a generous person who enjoyed people, gardening, animals, Big Band Music, dancing, John Wayne movies, splitting wood and lawn maintenance. Gib showed unconditional love to his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Kendrick Funeral Home (Kingsville) on Sunday February 2, 2020 from 4 to 7 p.m. A celebration of Gib’s life will take place on Monday February 3, 2020 at Church of the Epiphany, Kingsville at 1 p.m. where burial will follow in Church of the Epiphany Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, persons wishing to do so may consider a donation to the St. George's Masonic Lodge, No. 41 or the Kingsville Horticultural Society.
