Obituary for Geraldine Hamilton - Kingsville Celebration Centre

Geraldine Ruby Hamilton will be dearly missed by many extended family members and friends for her laughter and joy of living an adventurous life. On April 15, 2023 Geraldine Ruby Hamilton (nee Mitchell, nee Palajac) made her peaceful transition at Southbridge LTC.

Challenged by physical and dementia mental struggles in recent months Gerri finally let go of her fight to remain in this physical world. Reunited in heaven with her first husband Andrew Leonard Palajac (1957), second husband Harold George Hamilton (1999), twin brother Gerald Mitchell (2022), sister Dorothy Rupert (2021), and her parents Gertie (1994) and Russell Mitchell (1967).

We also acknowledge her good friend Fred Hasler, over the last 15 years who shared many wonderful memories, day trips and adventures with her.

Survived by her sister Mary Kendrick, daughter Cindy Palajac (Tom Jones), sons Lenny Palajac (Nettie) and Todd Hamilton (Janette deceased Nov. 3/2022). Grandchildren Meghan (Todd) Rio, Nicole Jones and Amanda (Max) Stanton. Step grandchild Cheyanne O’Ryan (Todd & Janette).

Great grandchildren Kyran and Anthony Rio brought her great joy. Her grandchildren & great grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved to cook, bake, laugh and play games with them.

She will be missed by many life-long friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. You know who you are and she is sending you hugs right now.

Gerri loved to laugh and have a good time. She will be remembered for being a loyal and kind friend. Her many artistic talents included sewing, knitting, cake decorating, ceramics, straw wreath weaving and slate art.

Red Hat Society brought her lots of companionship and fun with all their outings. Travelling was also a passion for her to visit different areas of Canada and United States with her sister Mary and her cousins.

After moving to London in 2008 from Kingsville, Gerri became a regular at the local library. Reading was a passion for her and we recommend donations going to the London Public Library - Visiting Library Program or the Book for Every Child Program.

Visitation will take place at Kendrick Funeral Home (Kingsville) on Saturday, April 22nd from 12-2pm. Gerri’s Celebration of Life will take place at 2pm in the funeral home.
