Gary Wright, age 82, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on January 6th, 2023. He nobly fought a long battle with cancer. He will be fondly remembered as an Essex District High school teacher. Soulmate to his wife, Charlene (nee Lamoureux); devoted father to Kim (Ernie) Meloche, Kip (Tracey) Wright; grandfather to Chad (Melissa) Robinson, Chase (Dana) Robinson, Melanie and Stephanie Wright; great-grandfather to Lacey, Paisley, Emory, and Tory. Loving brother to Donna Upham; dear son in law to Dolly Plant; brother in law to Chris Lamoureux, and Elaine Wright. Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Lenore Wright, brother Fred Wright, sister Marion Ramsdale, brothers in law George Ramsdale and Art Upham, and son Troy Wright. Gary will be missed by many special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbours in Muskoka, Florida, and Essex County.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home, Kingsville. A celebration of life will be held on July 30th, 2023, at the Lake Erie Country Club starting at 2pm (105 Lakeside Drive, Harrow ON).
