It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Wilson Franks, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the age of 87 years, after returning from the winter in Florida. Loving husband of Esther " Cookie" and the Late Mary Anne Franks (Jan 2012). Loving father of Karen Carther (Tom Reaume). Much adored grandfather of Katie Carther. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Della Franks. Sadly, missed by dear friends George & Eileen and Mary, and his fur babies Leo, Latte and Mocha. Don was a respected educator in Guelph and later in Essex County as superintendent at GECDSB. He was an avid boater with a love for all things in nature. Don was a perpetual learner, there was always something new to learn.
Visitation will take place at Kendrick Funeral Home (91 Division Street S., Kingsville) on Tuesday April 30, 2019 from 5-8 p.m, and continue Wednesday May 1, 2019 at 10:30 am with a celebration on Don’s life at 11:30 am.
