Obituary for Charles Russell Dalton

passed away peacefully due to complications from illness on June 2, 2019. Beloved husband of Jean Dalton, loving father of Richard Dalton (Barb) of Kingsville, Charlene Oxland (late husband Robert) of Forest, Kathryn Muir (Dave) of Kitchener. Loving step father to Mark Johnston (late wife Nicole) of Matheson and Sylvie Guenther (Wayne) of Windsor.

Cherished grandfather to Beth Riberdy (Kevin); Ian Muir and T.J. Muir (Bethany); Alexia Johnston (Jesse), Ryley Johnston (David), Kelsey Guenther and Sarah Guenther; Julie Oxland, Mark Oxland (Tina), Andrea Foster (Joe). Great grandfather to Breanna and David Riberdy, Dawson Muir, Nathaniel Donaldson.

Charles was predeceased by his first wife Frances Dalton, his parents Milford and Pearl Dalton, and his brother George Dalton. He will be missed by his sister Ruth (Don) Burgess, and sister-in-law Rosalie Dalton. Other extended family include Bernard and Louise Mulcaster, Louis and Louise Lalande, Rheal and Jeannette Lalande, Richard and Lucie Lalande and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends Jim and Barb Raeside.

Charles was a retiree of the Ford Motor Company in Windsor, he had an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoyed many winters at Sanlan Park in Florida.

Visitation will take place at Kendrick Funeral Home (91 Division St. S., Kingsville) on Sunday June 9, 2019 from 2-6 p.m. and on Monday at 10 a.m. until a celebration of Charlie’s life at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery.
