Rest in peace, Papa. We're so sad that you're gone, but I'm also happy that you can be with grandma again.

I miss you. Memory is a strange thing - even though we had many years together, my mind always goes back to a christmas dinner when I was little. I've never been good around groups of people, and I used to get really nervous/overwhelmed - you probably already knew that. I was restless, and came over and sat in your lap while you watched TV and talked to the other adults. I rest my head on your chest and just listened to your heartbeat/breathing and muffled talking, and pretended to be asleep. It was so calming and comforting.

I love you, Papa. xoxo
