Obituary for Calvin Stewart - Kingsville Celebration Centre
STEWART, Calvin Henry Alfred;
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Erie Shores Healthcare at the age of 89 years. Calvin was born on October 27, 1933, on Pelee Island to his parents, the late Henry and Alice Stewart (nee Roebuck). Pelee Island always held a special place in his heart as that is where he spent his younger years. Calvin is reunited with his loving wife, Jane Stewart (nee Malott) (2002). Also left to remember him are many cousins, extended family and friends.
Calvin was a retired commercial fisherman; at one time having the largest fishing vessel on Lake Erie. After retirement, he and Jane spent many years travelling the United States and Canada in their motorhome. They spent several years in Florida where Calvin got to practice his love of golf and fishing on a regular basis. In the most recent years, Calvin was a resident of Southgate Residence where he enjoyed spending time with the wonderful staff and many new friends he made there.
Visitation will be held at Kenrick Funeral Home, Kingsville, on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. A private burial will be held in Greenhill Cemetery at a later date.
