With happy memories and sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of Betty Margaret Arnold (nee Gardner), on June 7, 2023.
Beloved wife of the late Douglas Glen Arnold (February 9, 1998).
Loving mother of Wendy Charlyn Arnold (husband Pierre Steyn), Linda Lee Arnold, and Dale Douglas Arnold.
Cherished grandmother of Jenny (Blake), Jill (Noel), Neil, Ryan, and Kelly. Cherished great-grandmother of Jack, Elliott, Lauren, and James.
Betty was the last surviving member of her family. She was the daughter of Leda Verlyn (nee Cofell) and Charles Edgar Gardner.
Predeceased by sisters Donna and Barbara, and brothers Louis and John.
Betty was a secretary for Kent County Board of Education for 30 years and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 28 and branch 642, for over 50 years. She was an original member of Sprucedale United Church.

A private family service will take place. Donations in memory of Betty made directly to Branch 642 Legion (39 William St N, Chatham, ON N7M 4L3) or Sprucedale United Church (493 Victoria Ave, Chatham, ON N7L 3B4) would be greatly appreciated.
