Obituary for Barbara Levy - Kingsville Celebration Centre
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we share the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Barbara Elizabeth Levy (nee Blackmore) just three days short of her 90th birthday on Saturday, November 5th, 2022. She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years James Levy. Survived by her daughters Betty Ann Kidd (Jack), Linda Levy, and son James V. Levy. Grandchildren Jennifer Greig (husband Jeff), Patrick Kidd (wife Diora). Great grandchildren Logan Greig, Lilly Kidd, and Hazel Kidd.
Barbara was a beloved and active member of the community including the UCW, Red Hats, a board member of the Harrow Fair and held a 35 year tenure with the Women's Institute. When she wasn't volunteering her time, Barbara could be found in her beautiful flower and vegetable garden, painting, baking, quilting, crocheting or crafting. Barbara and her husband were also avid travelers, going on road trips all over Canada and the United States.
Visitation will take place at Kendrick Funeral Home - Kingsville (91 Division St. S) on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 10 a.m. until time of Celebration of Life at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are greatly appreciated. We'd also like to thank the staff at the Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus and Cancer Clinic for their kindness and compassion.
