Obituary for Audrey Strong - Kingsville Celebration Centre

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Audrey Mae (Nee Payne), beloved wife of William (Bill) for 64 years. Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Daughter of the Late John and Mary Katherine Payne (Nee Hopkins). Beloved mother of David, Windsor, Donna Isaac (Bakhus), Peter, London, Susan Miletic (Walter) Windsor, and Christopher (Cheryl) Amherstburg. Dearest Grandmother of Jessica, Brandon, Joseph, Julian, Kyle, Gabrielle, Erika, Sara, William, Benjamin and Jonathon. Great Grand Mother of Samuel, Eddie, Charlie and Frankie. Beloved sister of Donna Ouellette (Ron) and the late John (2012) Mary. Survived also by many nieces and nephews.
Audrey loved to travel and with her doing the planning and navigation and Bill doing the driving they were fortunate to visit many places but was always grateful to return home to her family.
Audrey was a member of the infamous card club that never got around to playing cards but enjoyed many happy hours with the "girls". Audrey was blessed with many friends who simply loved her even though she was never without an opinion. She was also a long-time member of the St. John de Brebeuf CWL.
Throughout her sickness Audrey was fortunate to have been cared for by many PSW' s and other healthcare professionals who treated her with so much care and respect. Our family is forever grateful. Special thanks to Sun Parlour home for their kindness and caring for Audrey in her final days.
Audrey will be sadly missed by her and Bill's long-time dear friend and mentor Eleanor Mertz.
A Memorial Mass will take place Thursday February 20, 2020 at 10 am with one hour of visitation prior to mass at St. John de Brebeuf Catholic Church, Kingsville.
If you chose to, donations may be made to Street Help Homeless Centre of Windsor or a charity of your choice. Condolences received at www.Kendrickfuneralhome.com.
