It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Alma Bell, on March 18, 2021 at Royal Oak Nursing Home at the age of 88 years old. Alma was born on January 15, 1933 in Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan to the late Emil and Marta Block.
Alma Bell was predeceased by her husband, Harry Bell. She was the beloved sister of Edith Mitchell, Marilyn Block, Willy Block, Herman Block, Helmet Block and predeceased by Siegmond Block, Arnold Block, Louis Block, Walter Block and her twin brother Edmond Block; the cherished mother of Greg and Kathy; the adored grandmother of Madelyn, Heather, Tristan, and McKenzie; and the loved mother-in-law of Karen and David.
She married her loving husband, Harry Bell, on April 20, 1963 in Regina Saskatchewan. They enjoyed 56 years together, raising their family in Malton, Ontario. They were always so proud of their children and talked about them often.
Whether as a family member, nurse, neighbour, or friend, Alma Bell devoted the days of her life to caring for others. Her noteworthy strength, exhibited throughout her life, came from her everlasting faith in God. She had a passion for cooking and gardening. Alma had a talent for growing the most beautiful red roses in her flowerbeds and loved to cook large meals for her family, especially during the holidays.
Alma Bell was loving and dedicated to her family with whom she continued to play a close role until her passing. Her death comes with overwhelming sadness, especially due to the limitations imposed by the COVID-19 restrictions over this past year. Alma Bell will be deeply missed.
