It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alexander Eugene Fortin (a.k.a. Bud)
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of over 60 years, Elizabeth “Betty”. His children Mike Fortin (Ruth), Dave Fortin (Nancy), Gayle Fortin(Bjoern) and Brad Fortin(Sheila).
Adored grandfather of Mark, Jason (Sydney), Nicole (Terry), Bruce, Chanse (Jacquelyn), Graham, Tylo, Alex and great-grandpa of Kristapher, Mackenzie, Logan, Landon, Hayden, Nicole, Kayden, Jacob, Nora, Samantha and Hanna.
Brother of Earl Fortin (Kathy).
Predeceased by his parents Earl & Kathleen Robertson Fortin; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Bud lived on his own terms along with a smile, hug or tears to share. He was always Available to lend a hand or give of his time. He was known for his handy work with woodworking or cooking.
He spent 15 years serving our country and in that time became a cook and ran the mile in 4.12 to hold the Canadian record in the military.
Bud went on to work at Welland Chemical until his retirement.
At the time of his passing, he was lucky enough to be a Kingsville resident for the past 14 years.
There will be a celebration of Bud’s life at a later date.
